Two copies of I-140...what to do with 2nd copy?

Hi,

I got I-140 approved last year in EB3 category. They send us two copies. I'm in New Jersey, so I need to file to California center. Where do I use second copy of I-140?

Also, my PD becoming current on JUly 1st, 2007. Can I send them on Friday and they will receive on Monday, July 2? or that's not a valid.
