Two applications

Hi all,

My wife, before we knew each other had applied for green card through her non citizen father(about 15 years ago). After we got married we applied for her green card through me(us citizen) (6 months ago).

She has just received the GC through her father. How should we proceed from here? Can she use this green card

She still has not gotten an interview from when I applied for her.

Yes. Whichever AOS finishes first is the one that counts. Her AOS through you is no longer relevant and will be abandoned or denied.

That's what I figured. Not sure why the lawyer is telling us not to use the green card she received. He is telling us to wait for the AOS filed through me.
