Hi guys, i did application for I-130, I-485 and I-765. I filed I-130 at Vermont Service center and I-485 & I-765 at Chicago IL. I received approval letter for I-130 with one A#. and last week received a letter for Finger Prints stating my case# for I-485 & I-765 with diff. A#. (In between i did received the receipt letters)
In short two A# 1)I-130 filed by my wife and 2)I-485 and I-765 filed by me
I dont know whether this is a serious issue or its normal and finally it will solved itself from USCIS or not?
It was my mistake that while filling those forms i mailed them as per the address listed on that.

It can be pretty serious ... you can't count on USCIS to put the two together to figure out you're the same person. In my opinion, your biggest issue could be that you'd have stated on I-485 that an immigrant number is immediately available to you based on an approved immigrant petition, however you did not provide them with an approved petition or a concurrently filed I-130 in the same package, causing them to be confused as to where your I-130 is. Your best hope would be that you'd get an RFE on I-485 for this issue, asking for the (approved) I-130. I think sending something in without RFE won't help, because it's unlikely to be associated with your case.

Here are a couple:

I-485 returned, asking for I-130 proof and still waiting
I-130 Approved I-485 No Replies
Is this a normal process, and what can i expect

Try to keep your questions that revolve around the same issue in the same thread, it will help give people better advice as to your specifics and history of your sitation. When you reply to your old thread, it will come back on top for us to see. :)

HEY Austr***, I know those questions i had posted, but whts the similarity in those and this one related to A#. So search for the threads which has issue for 2 A# not the ones i had posted.

You search for them yourself :p

My point is simply that your overall issue is that you sent the I-130 to your local service center as opposed to in the same envelope to the Chicago lock box. The resulting problems that you've had which you've discussed in the different threads are all manifestations of this. Your applications were issued different A#s because the USCIS didn't know they belong together. For concurrently filed applications, or those where an I-130 approval notice is attached, you should only receive one A#.

You have stated that the I-485 application was returned to you, and you submitted a new I-485 application with an I-130 notice of receipt on 8/4/07, but your I-485 and I-130 were receipted in July before you sent your response, so therefore they have two different A#s. My guess is the A# you'll keep in the end is the one on I-485.

What concerns me (and someone please provide some insight into this) is that the I-485 instructions ask to file the I-485 either with a complete immigrant petition (I-130) for which a number is immediately available, or file with the I-485 an approved immigrant petition, as initial evidence, but in this case my understanding is a receipt notice for an I-130 has been provided in response to an RFE (?), so could there still be an issue with this?

why don't you spare me one number? I went to interview and it turned out my A number was an existing one which was under a guy in Florida. I have to wait now to get a new A number assigned.

I read in your quote that u were till GC Interview now. Can you tell me what all changes or the status updates would come now. So far i see as listed below on USCIS Website, i had my fingerprint on dec15,07 and dec17,07 i saw the update of CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED.

""Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.""

""Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION
Current Status: Card production ordered.""

what will be the next!!??

you are reciving your EAD probably next week. next step will be interview.

but do u think any other updates i will see on the status lines on USCIS website? because i keep on checking every now and then just to see if they have changed or updated anything on my portfolio. And also I-485 did u had any changes like Approval notice sent or I-485 approved? and last question, how many days it took for you to receive the interview letter after EAD was approved?

You may get some LUDs but shouldn't see any updated messages for your 485 until your interview, if everything goes smoothly. Then you'll get a flurry of updates after the interview if your I-485 was approved on the spot. They may include:
"interview conducted; case under review"
"notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident"
"card production ordered."

So I wont see any change of message in I-485, till interview is over? Do you have any idea of days taken after EAD or fingerprint, how many days it can to get interview letter?

There's no correlation with EAD and FP, it depends on your DO. Search for immigration trackers (there are several), do a search for your DO, look for the RD and ID of recent cases, it should give you an idea. Here you have some statistics broken out by DO, keep in mind those are only representative of the people that entered their info on that website.

And yes, there will be no update until your interview. You'll get an IL one day and are expected to show up, the case status system won't show anything about it.
