Although I know that it could take a great deal of coordination and investment to make it happen, but how about pushing a short documentary on the TV depicting current legal immigration issues and the plight of so many skilled professionals in the US from around the world ? Pushing it to the prime-time/weekend slots will be even more difficult and expensive though.

With the illegals being so organized and resourceful, they have been successful in getting the required media attention (radio/tv/print etc), though time will only tell if that goes for or against them eventually. I am sure we legals can certainly do a smarter job once we put our resources and skills to their best use.

Lobbying, faxing/calling talk show hosts/senators and appearing in short TV interviews are great achievements of IV so far. Amongst the current pro-legal immigration groups (Not many though), IV has been the only successful group in getting the media attention on TV, may be they can organize this effort, if deemed feasible and affordable at this point of time.

Please feel free to pour in more such ideas and suggestions to increase awareness and publicity of legal immigration issues in the US.
