I am not pessimistic in writing this. This is what going on in TSC. Out of frustration I am writing this. I remember that in September 2001 TSC was processing I-485 for receipt date of 03/01/2000. Now they are processing 11/01/2000. They have moved 8 months in 18 months duration. Be realistic and calculate your approval dates. The approval date you reach is the height of frustration. Other service centres through the same calculation it takes max of 15 months to get I-485 from receipt date.

This is what I don't understand....

There was a freeze on 485s for 2 months....2 MONTHS!!!!!!

Now they say that there are other backlogs that need priority.

WHAT WERE THEY WORKING ON DURING THE FREEZE???

They had 2 months where resources weren't being used on 485; but no improvement on any applications. I just don't understand.

I hope I'm wrong; but this will continue for awhile.

My friend's LC cleared in Dallas state office in May 2001 and went to Federal in May and got rfe in july and he answered in Aug 2001.

Recently after being one and half year in federal, he received a backlog notice from federal saying

"This application still takes several months, Do you wish to continue with the backlog"?.

Ofcourse he replied to continue with the backlog.

every case in every department is backed up by years in Texas.

Texas is Time Sucking Center
