TSC update - backlog reduction plan..

*******************************
Texas Service Center

1. The Texas Service Center (TSC) indicated that they are currently devising a plan to address the extensive backlog in Form I-140 processing times.

2. The TSC stated that the advancement of employment-based adjustment cases is slow. However, the TSC stated that it is currently devising a backlog reduction plan for this application.

3. The TSC stated that it is aggressively reducing the processing time for Advance Parole Applications and that significant improvement in the processing times should be realized shortly.

4. The TSC confirmed that it is completing a prima facie review of Form I-140 applications filed concurrently with Form I-485, Form I-765 and Form I-131 applications. It stated that the prima facie review takes approximately 90 days to complete and that the Forms I-765 and the Forms I-131 applications are adjudicated if the Form I-140 passes the prima facie review.

Hope my AP is approved soon because we have to visit home soon and we are stuck on H-1 status.

Could someone explain why I140 backlog is "extensive" and 485 is just "backlog" ? As I recall, 140 is backlogged to about 11/2002 and 485 is backlogged to 1/2001 .

Must be a TSC BS explanation as usual..............:o

Hope that planning for 1 and 2 is 2-3 weeks and executing it is in 2-3 weeks. Knowing TSC one can only guess how long the planning and execution phases will take.

3) No brainer: Allocate a few resources to approve them as fast as they can sign it. 1 application per 2 –3 minutes and they can reduce AP backlogs in 5 days.

A point to note is that they have not mentioned any specific dates/months for 1) and 2) to happen. Compare it with VSC. One can only hope that TSC is not up to its BS again.

Good point Groan about 485 backlogs.

Because I-140 is an application by US industry. I-485 is just an application by an immigrant.

it sucks

that what the plan is to reduce the backlog on 485 no one knows:mad:
look at csc at least mentioned some dead line on resolving those issues while tsc is as vague as it can be

While they talk about implementing a plan, the backlog just keeps growing.
Based upon the so called 33 month processing time, I was reluctantly content to see my approval by next May, but now that even seems doubtful.:( This is so BS.

If you want improvment like CSC, we have to work like CSC applicants pushing the petition. Please volunteer for the core team and work with the congress person in your district/state.
