As a reference,
02/15/2003 Processing Times:
======================
EAD: 10/03/2002 (unchanged since 01/30/2003)
AP: 12/04/2002 (unchanged since 01/01/2003)
I485: 11/01/2000 (unchanged since 11/30/2002 release)

03/01/2003 Processing Times:
======================
EAD: 10/21/2002 (advanced 18 days in the last 14 days)
AP: 10/15/2002 (retrogressed 50 days in the last 14 days)
I485: 11/01/2000 (unchanged since 11/30/2002 release)

What's going on with AP?! :confused:

What a shame on them!!!

my application for AP, EAD, 485
ND 11/22/02

I was hoping to get my AP by now because they indicated the processing date for AP was 12/04/02 as I checked weeks before.

The current processing status makes me more dissapointed.

I have been calling TSC since last Monday on a every 3 minutes basis but never get through!!

What a phone system!! Even in US, who claims to be the most advanced tech.

BAJIS, I DON'T THINK TEXAS IS UPDATING THEIR LIST.

Hi, My EAD filing date is around the 16th of October-2002, and it was approved 21 Feb 2003. So I don't think they are doing a good job updating their processing times. OR ELSE THEY ARE SHOWING THE OLDEST PENDING CASE PROBABLY WAITING ON RFE.

Bajis,

I think that we have gone over this before last and Ramnathsunda has the same comment to make. It may be that they noticed a long pending Oct case and moved their report dates back. There are several postings that Oct EAD casaes are approved. Regarding AP some people have posted that Oct applications are pending at same time nov applicants have got it. Same story for 485, TSC shows 2000 cases, whereas we know several 2001 cases approved , recently Kerala and Kennys cases.

Radom behavior or maybe they are clearing selectively. Going over Rupnet and e-nairobi i have seen that peole from countries where applicants are less(other than China and India) get cleared faster. Also in one of the centres they have 1st, 2nd and 3rd preference listed for I-140. Do they carry the same for 485 too ?

looks like if they only have one case in 2000 still pending, the processing time for I-485 will not change, even though they are approving 2001, 2002 cases.

The truth is that TSC processes according to when FP notices are sent. In other words, randomly.

TSC Processing Time (03/30/2003)

03/30/2003 Processing Times:
======================
EAD: 11/04/2002 (advanced 13 days in the last 15 days)
AP: 10/22/2002 (unchanged since 03/15/2002 release)
I485: 11/01/2000 (unchanged since 11/30/2002 release)

Remember the incident where an individual with known ties to the hezbolla terrorrist outfit was granted either a GC or Citizenship?

Was that blunder comitted by TSC?
If so, that may be the reason TSC adjudicators & managers are scared of even touching 485 applications.

I think that happened around Nov 2002, the same time TSC & other service centers stopped processing 485's...

my story

Here is my story: got I-140 approved the first time in December 2000 (VSC). By then I have moved to a new job abd altough I changed my address, they sent the approval to my old address. Never received it and only learned about it a tear later. Requested again a I-140 in my new jurisdiction (TSC) in a E1 category. Got approved a second time. Initiated I-485 in February 2002. Fingerprints in August 2002. My H1 is ending in May. I had to request a new EAD.

I don't know what to do in oder to be on the right side of the law. Seems to me the procedures are designed by the INS to make life, and obeying the law, more difficult. Have only seen this kind of disregard and callousness for people's need in third world countries. Reminds me of Kafka's "The Trial" (I copied Amazon.com comment on this book, maybe you'll identify with Mr. K):

"A terrifying psychological trip into the life of one Joseph K., an ordinary man who wakes up one day to find himself accused of a crime he did not commit, a crime whose nature is never revealed to him. Once arrested, he is released, but must report to court on a regular basis--an event that proves maddening, as nothing is ever resolvedl. Joseph K. is forced to abandon his sense of reason, justice, community, responsiblity are all indefinably and unceremoniously yanked from him by an errie, invisable, unnamed but powerful system of judgement. Claustrophobic feelings of growing helplessness and desperation emminate so strongly from Kafka's prose that you could cut it with a knife. I seem to get headaches and a sore neck everytime I read this story. --"

(sounds like some of the posting in this list!)

TSC Processing Time (03/30/2003)

Bajis,

Correct me if I am wrong.

03/30/2003 Processing Times:
======================
EAD: 11/04/2002 (advanced 13 days in the last 15 days)

*********************************
EAD: 12/09/02 (other than concurrent, advanced 36 days in the last 15 days)

I think we belong to this category(Filed 485 after 140 approval)
**********************************

AP: 10/22/2002 (unchanged since 03/15/2002 release)
I485: 11/01/2000 (unchanged since 11/30/2002 release)

ML_2001,

Yes you're right!

I am used to looking at http://www.immigration-law.com/Processing-Times.html website. In this site, there is no mention about the "other than concurrent=12/09/02" note.

But in http://www.immigration.com/processing-times/tx.html , I did observe this info.

So yes, you're correct. Looks like EAD (for non-concurrent filers) did advance 36 days!

PS: A request people ... thank you for the posts on EAD/AP approvals. But can we use this thread for "TSC Processing Time" - related discussion alone? Like venting anger, lamenting, even cursing :) Please open a new thread for EAD/AP approvals. Thank you for your cooperation gang.
