TSC - NIW - Service Request Response

My 140 NIW case has been pending at TSC since January 12th 2007. My attorney filed a service request with USCIS and today we got the following response from the:

We are actively processing the case but need to perform additional review and hence the longer processing time.... If you don't hear from us within 6 months of this letter call .......

Has anyone else got this reponse? Will it really take 6 more months to get a decision? Any experience with what this response means or how long it usually takes?

Well you atleast got a time frame of 6 months. I got nothing. It said case is pending for background check. Who knows it may years?
 
I got exactly samething as you. so frustrated.

Did you file concurrently or just I-140 alone. I noticed concurrent peoples have severely suffered from so called security checks(!!). Is there any one with just I-140
 
I did not file concurrently.

gc_er, skvadivel: What is your receipt date? How long have you been waiting?
 
Is this "additional review" referring to the security check or is it just a generic term used to buy more time?
