I have seen a lot of activity on my case lately .

First i recieved an Email saying they sent me 2nd FP notice on June 29 . USPS forwarded me the Notice although it was sent to my old adress

( i updated my address and got written aknowlegement from USCIS in Oct 2004)

I called to verify my address on July 11 and on Jul 12 i got an Email saying
" On August 16, 2005, the document we made based on the approval or
registration of this case was mailed directly to the person
............"

I did my 2nd FP on Jul 27 and my LUD changed on Jul 28 and on Jul 29 i got another Email saying we sent you an RFE on Jul 28 .

I never recieved any thing in 2 weeks so i called on Aug 12 and they verified that it was mailed to my current address and the other message i.e
"On August 16, 2005, the document we made based on the approval or
registration of this case was mailed
......." was a mistake .

My LUD again changed yesterday and today Jul 17 i got two different emails from CRIS .

1st says
"Our last written notice in this case was returned as undeliverable by
the post office on August 16, 2005. To update the mailing address so
this notice can be re-sent, please call the National Customer Service
Center at (800) 375-5283 . "

2nd is again the stupid message
" On August 16, 2005, the document we made based on the approval or
registration of this case was mailed directly
....."

LUD also changed for my spouse & kids on Aug 15 & 16 after almost 20 months . :)

I am totaly confused to what is going on , also the last i checked my Name Check was still pending ' all this activity gives me some hope but it is impossible to predict how TSC works .

Any thoughts ?

Its a known fact ...

masood_55,

Welcome to the mess that is the TSC. Anything and everything is possible. Its a well known fact that alteast a portion if not all of the TSC is very very incompetent. In my dealing with the TSC I have found that the best way is to try to stay on top of all activity realted with your case because they may be telling you something while something totally different may actually be happening. This has happened to me several times.

On a more positive note, all this activity with your case is a good sign. Hopefully they are getting your case ready for approval come October. Again try to stay on top of what the TSC is doing with your case and make sure to verify and double check everything if you can. This may sound paranoid but its better to be safe than sorry.

regards,

saras

Don't trust LUD

Masood_55,

We, me and my wife, are in the same boat.

We received the 2nd FP notice which went to our old address and then it went back to TSC. TSC again updated my address, but LUD changes for both me and my wife as it our case was approved.

I called TSC, they said that they are waiting for our FP2. Now it was done on Aug. 9. It seems to me that, as soon as, the report for FP2 reach USCIS (within couple of hours), our LUD changes they have asked for RFE which my lawyer has received today asking VISA status.

I know one thing for sure that all these process are standard and will not have any effect on our case untill the NAME CHECK for me is completed by the FBI which was pending since NOV, 2003. However, my wife's name check is cleared on NOV, 2003.

Have fun. Keep calm and cool.

Masood,

Here How should a person update his addr when moves,

1. File AR-11 or AR-11SR (SR country)

2. A simple letter along with all pending Case receipts to TSC notifying addr change

Address and Attorney Change Notification

USCIS TSC
P.O. Box 850891
Mesquite, TX 75185-0891

3. After that wait atleast a week or two and call 800 to confirm that addr has been changed or not. if not then ask them to change.

-------------------------

I belive most ppl went fine using this procedure.

if u missed any step and just keep calling 800 and asking to update ur address you are only making them confuse, everytime they/800 SC ppl send query on your behalf to TSC making thing more confusion and nothing then else,

Have u filed AR-11/SR ?

Have u send a letter to TSC to update ur addr in all pending appl?

Good Luck

.

Thanks POJ ,

I followed all these steps in oct last year and USCIS sent me a letter at my new address confirming the address change , and they still sent FP notice and RFE to the old address .
I dont think these people need any help from my side to get confused. They mailed the FP at the old address even before i called the 800 # .

And yes i did file AR11/ SR .

Send again a letter to TSC at 'Change addr' above address. along with all receipt and copy of fp/rfe what erver u got,

it seems u are representing ur self , is that the reason they sent RFE to you and not to attorney?

if Yes, then may be they have updated ur Address in their files, but still representation fields have ur old addr, in this situation file a letter to TSC and notify them 'attorney change' or you are representing ur self to ur case. along with new addr.

Good Luck

POJ i am not representing myself but my attorney also had a change of addres . My 2nd FP was recieved by the Attorney at his new address but i am not sure when or if he will get the RFE.
I will send another letter to TSC for address change and see if that works .
