TSC has new published dates

I am surpried to see that TSC published dates which shows that they are processing cases of April-04 for I-485. However my case was filled in October -2003 and donot have anyupdate.
Is anyone still left out from 2003.

Long time no see. I thought you would have been approved by now. Has your 140 been approved yet? My case finally made it back to TSC and they approved my 140. Just recently they confirmed that my 485 is back at TSC. Not sure when the approval will come.

Reasons for delay
avnapa,
Firstly the released date is representative of the majority of cases they are working on. If 90% or more of cases from 2003 are complete and they have started working on a lot of 04 cases then they move the date forward. It is very possible that something went wrong with the pending 02-03 cases. Here are a few scenarios -
1. Name check is pending. This is one of the major problems these days. The FBI needs to conduct a name check for every applicant and a lot of times this process casuses delays. There are several flavors of this problem. One is that USCIS never requests the FBI to conduct the name check. The second one is that the FBI takes a long time. The third is when the FBI completes the name check and sends back the results but USCIS misplaces them.
2. The file could have been transferred to the wrong office.
3. USCIS loses the file or misplaces it.
Any of the above is possible. What you can do is call and start an inquiry. Since the date is well past your filing date you now have reason to approach a Congressman or Senator.

I have been busy settling in to a new job. I was happy to read that your I-140 had been approved.
Unfortunately, nothing has been approved for me. I did my 2nd FP a week before you did, but nothing has come of it. No LUD changes at all. I think theyhave reset my RD to 10/2004.
I was thinking about contacting my Congressman and Senator again. Hopefully that will kick things back into gear again.

I can't believe that they have not yet approved your 140. I think you should contact your area congressman or senator. They cannot push your date to Oct 04 when you actually filed in 03. You must have the filing receipts and that is what matters. Their online status can claim anything.
I sincerely hope they can get to your case soon. Keep in touch.

If you have an idea please help.
Immigration attorneys are just suckers they care for their money only. My attorney doesnot have time becasue she is busy all the time with meeting and cliantes very hard to catch her

First call TSC

If you are EB3 then just wait till October 05 before doing something. If in OCT your PD is current then call the TSC and get a phone inquiry started. All you have to do is call the 1-800 number and since your date is well before the processing date they will place an inquiry for you. This may get something moving.
If after this there is no update from TSC then you should approach your area congressman. All you have to do is call or visit his/her office and talk to the immigration liaision. Do this as a last resort thing.
Hopefully in Oct your case will get approved without doing all the above.

But my wife's I-485 is still pending. Last week we had gone for finger printing which has been rejected again. This was third time. So I guess it is pending becasue of that.
Could you tell me what would be the next step. I am sure that I am not going to get this approval letter soon becasue as usual they will send this letter also to my previous address and which will be returned again and than again it will take a month to get this letter. I want to travel next month.
