Cute pictures! I wanted to ask you something: I received my FP notice (code 3) this week and I will be going to Louisville, KY for that in the end of the month. Would you please explain to me what the next step is? I am confused.After FP is done, we wait for I-485 approval and then interview and then PP stamping? Please let me know. I really appreciate it!

I can answer your questions. After FP if everything moves smoothly, you will receive an approval notice. You will then have to make an INFOPASS appointment at your local USIC office to go and get your PP stamped. Usually during the PP stamping process, they stamp your passport, take FP of your index finger and you submit some pictures of yourself. These are used for the physical GC card. Since your FP is code 3, the FP office will be taking FP of 10 of your fingers, a digital picture, your signature and FP of your index finger. This will allow USCIS to create your physical GC immediately after approval and send it to you without having to wait for the process to take place during the PP stamping. There is no interview after approval. Just a PP stamping appointment.

This is how it works to the best of my knowledge.

or #2
FP > RFE > approval >.......

or # 3
FP > Interview > approval+stamp > GC card

during this 'FBI and other agencies(IBIS) perform diff tasks like ' Name check' etc
....

If u like to learn what is going on with ur 485 at this stage read this there is a doc 'Standard 485 procedure' its lengthy but u would enjoy learning.
