I got this note from my attorney.
I filled for 485 in May 01, Got FP done on 1/21/03 and have got updated in the on line status.
Note says:-
Count yourself lucky. This just appeared regarding fingerprint problems at the Texas Service Center. Thought you might be interested.
TSC Liaison Questions and Answers for January 13, 2003 MEETING
1. Please provide an update on the situation regarding lack of Fingerprint Notices due to a glitch with the automatic scheduler. Have all the I-485 applications from 2001 which were skipped over for fingerprint notices been located yet? Some IIOs have been advising clients and attorneys to provide lists of cases which have not yet received FP notices. Would such lists be helpful? If so, what filing date should be used to compile such a list and what other pertinent information is needed?
All 2000 cases are shown as scheduled for fingerprinting. Priority treatment will be given to 1998 and 1999 cases needing fingerprinting. These cases are being manually scheduled as soon as they are discovered. Of the 2001 cases, approximately 5000 still need to be scheduled. These are being scheduled manually. It is anticipated that all such cases will be picked up by March. Even though they are "picked up", the actual fingerprint appointment notice will not be sent until a slot is available at the appropriate ASC and some ASCs are backlogged several months. If an AILA member has a case within either of the parameters below, an inquiry can be sent.
i. I-485 was filed earlier than the normal processing date of November 1, 2000; or
ii. I-485 is for a concurrently filed dependent family member and the principal has already been approved, regardless of what date the I-485 was filed.
