I called TSC again, and it was through. This time I can tell she is a rep.
She asked my receipt Number and name address. I could hear the key board typing noice.. After 1 minute, she told me that my case was assigned to an office. Once I asked about the visa number, she said she does not know whether my case was assigned with a visa number but she knew that the visa numbers were allocated on 7/1/07. I asked about my husband's case, She said he has to call himself. She could not release any info
Compared with the info I got from yesterday, I found that:
- A# inquiry can tell whether the visa number is pre-allocated or not..If you are talking to an true IO, A# is better to see some info
- Receipt number inquiry can tell whether the case is assigned to an officer.. Rep usually only inquiry Receipt number and refused to check A#. They can not tell whether visa number is allocated.
What do you guys think?
