TSC audit and their unfairness

Guys,

Just found out from my lawyer that TSC is being audited internally and that they have been transferring cases to all sorts of local offices to artificially reduce the number of cases in their backlog pile. Some cases are being legitmately transferred but if the cases are being transferred to the wrong office and the 140 has not been approved before transfer (mostly to the MIAMI office) then it is very likely that TSC is just screwing you over. Once the audit is complete they will recall the case. What a great way to beat an audit and screw with innocent filers.

I am one of the unfortunate people whose case has been transferred to Miami by TSC. Please check my signature for the details. I recently applied to renew my EAD and they have transferred it to Miami for an interview. I am from Atlanta and was always suspicious of this transfer. Once I got the audit news from my lawyer it started making more sense.

If you are one of the unfortunate ones whose case is in the wrong local office without the 140 being approved please talk to your lawyers and then to your congressman and correct the situation. The cases were never supposed to be transferred in the first place. They need to get back to TSC.

I will keep everyone posted on what happens to my case.

regards,

Lots of trasnferred cases

My lawyer has found this out because she has come across several cases that have been transferred to the Miami office. These people do not even live in Florida but their cases have been boxed up and sent to Miami. A great way to clean shop. Just ship them out rather than work on them.

Now they are apporving 140s from August and September 04. This is making them look so good in front of their upper management. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for those that are on the good side of this unfair practise but those of us on the receiving end cannot sit back and take it.

I thought TSC has the audit in october as old timers will remember when approval comes to a halt. Not sure what audit this is.. :(

Not sure

ihack,

I am not sure if my lawyer is talking about the same audit or if there is a new one going on. The fact remains that due the audit (whenever it might have been) a lot of cases have been transferred to the wrong offices and are now lost in this crazy system.

The only reason I am posting these threads is to make people aware of this situation. I am sure a lot of people are in the same situation like me and are wondering what is going on. I have had a hard time figuring out this process and want to share what I learn.

"reduce the number of cases in their backlog pile"

I've been saying this all along......

The audit was traditionally in October, although I haven't heard about it lately.

Saras,
Does your lawyer have some kind of memo or something from USCIS or AILA that this is why all the cases were transferred (many of which were transfered illogically like yours) Or, is he just guessing to make up a reason for why your case is in this terrible quandry?

Not sure George

When it comes to my lawyer, I never know whats going on. My guess is that its just an assumption she made. Its better than saying she has no idea.

Anyway I have decided to visit the Miami office next week if I can get an infopass appointment.
