Guys,
Just found out from my lawyer that TSC is being audited internally and that they have been transferring cases to all sorts of local offices to artificially reduce the number of cases in their backlog pile. Some cases are being legitmately transferred but if the cases are being transferred to the wrong office and the 140 has not been approved before transfer (mostly to the MIAMI office) then it is very likely that TSC is just screwing you over. Once the audit is complete they will recall the case. What a great way to beat an audit and screw with innocent filers.
I am one of the unfortunate people whose case has been transferred to Miami by TSC. Please check my signature for the details. I recently applied to renew my EAD and they have transferred it to Miami for an interview. I am from Atlanta and was always suspicious of this transfer. Once I got the audit news from my lawyer it started making more sense.
If you are one of the unfortunate ones whose case is in the wrong local office without the 140 being approved please talk to your lawyers and then to your congressman and correct the situation. The cases were never supposed to be transferred in the first place. They need to get back to TSC.
I will keep everyone posted on what happens to my case.
regards,
saras
