Hi,
  Our I-485 cases were approved on 13 feb..alteast that
  is what the Telephone message says, My details

  TSC
  PD Feb 1998
  SRC 00 105 XXXXX
  RD Feb 8th 200
  ND Feb 28th 2000
  FP March: 2000
  AD: Feb13 2001

   Extremely glad to be done with this painful process. I would have been
   a lot more exited if I had this approval 6 months back,when I really
   really needed this.
   Called INS many many times.
   It is a pure waste. They are as clueless as the rest of us.
   When I called last week..the lady told me to wait for
   another 9 months
   Since my EAD and AP were expiring in April..We had applied
   for them just a few days back. Unnecessary expense..
   Anyway better late then......

  Extremely greatful to dedicated people like Myladoor,mpotturi etc.
  
  I will post my stamping details
  I am more then willing to answer any questions

Heartiest congratulations and sad to hear that your dream did not come true when you needed GC very badly six month back from now. Any way several oppotunities will come ahead on your way just grab them as and when you get.


I have two questions

1. Just curious to know which city, I mean local INS office you belong to ?

2. How much time the total process took, any RFE etc

My local office is Atlanta.
  The 485 stage took excatly 1 year(355 days).
 
  Ours is a huge company with 20,000 people. I have a few friends
  in the same Catogory who applied 4 months before me and their
  message says "Case not found"
  On the Contarary, a close friend of mine applied 10 days after me
  and got his approval just yesterday.
  Please take my advice for it 2 cents worth
  1) The 485 approval will come soon...There is light at the end of
     the tunnel
  2) If you can avoid calling INS..avoid it. I did the mistake of
     calling a many many times. The only result it produced was a
     bigger phone bill
  3) Dont count days as you wait for it..It will just seem longer

 I did not receive any RFE
