Trouble Calculating Age for Visa Application

Hi everyone,

I'm currently in the process of applying for a visa and I've run into a bit of a snag with calculating my age. The application form requires my age to be entered in a specific format, and I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly.

My birthdate is January 15, 1990. Do I calculate my age as of today's date, or is there a specific date that the visa authorities use to determine age? Also, should I round up or down if my birthday is close to the application date?

Hi! Generally, visa applications use the current date for age calculation. Enter your age as of today, and you don’t need to round. If in doubt, check the application guidelines or contact them directly.
