Hello Everyone. I wanted to share my experience for the trip to canada as it could be useful to some one as their were many posts which helped me.
I went to canada through Buffalo border. First I booked my flight to Toronto but changed my mind as when I called US immigration at Toronto Airport, I was told that 30 day revalidation will not work for me as I am from a SR country.
I took my car to the border and told canadian customs that I donot want to declare my car for now as I will be going back to USA and might sell it their. They included the car in the list of things to follow. Many ppl had negative experiences when they took their own car but I still took a chance and it worked for me.,
On my return at Buffalo bridge I was asked few questions like how long you stayed, what was the purpose. They sent me inside for SR. Within 15 mins I was out with no problem. I like to mention that I had expired H1 on my passport. I was traveling with my wife and kid. Wife had a valid visa and my child is US citizen. I stayed in canada for 6 days.
I hope this is helpful to people who are travelling or coming back from canada.
