My I485 is pending and also my H1B extension is pending. Can I get the status of my H1b extension using my Alien number? I don't have my H1b receipt number for some some reasons.....

I don't think you can check the status with the alien number.
You need the receipt number

sanrishi, there's nothing tricky about your situation. Your 485 is pending and you're in legal status. If that's what you were concerned about. About checking the status of your H1 app you need the H1 Receipt Notice to get the number. A# is only for immigration applicants (as far as I know) and cannot be used to check status of non-immigrant cases (H1).

you might be able to check the status by giving IIO your full name and date of birth. they keep the records with these.

when my 485 receipt notice had not arrived, i was able to ask them by name and dob. you could try for h1 as well.

A# can also be for non-immigrants

For example, I got an A# when I was applying for my F1 OPT.
