Tricky situation. Advice needed.

I have my labor (PD: July, 2005, EB3) and I140 approved as a Lead QA Engineer.
Now management team wants to promote me to QA Manager.
Job description will be the same or almost the same with maybe a few additional tasks.

Is that ok? Will title change and a few new job tasks affect me somehow?

Lawyer said 50/50 if I'm in the same field (QA) and keep my job description the same - but recommended to keep my current Lead QA Engineer title... which sucks, 50/50 is not what I wanted to hear.

Please advice.

you have to bear risk, if you accept the offer

As you know the job has to be same or similar. By accepting the new job you will be giving an opportunity to the adjudicating officer to take a decision against your interests. You can fight back with the help of a good lawyer in that senario but always 'prevention is better than cure'.

if you know the company very well ie manager, hr etc they could give you a letter that you request at the interview time and at taht time you could request a similar profile to the one that is in the LC.
 
.... with current backlog... Looks like I'm stuck with current title for 4 years if there will be no changes related to retrogression. It's sucks even worse!
