tricky H1B transfer! pls help

I am with company A on H1B and want to change to company B. If company A sends a cancellation before B files for transfer then what will happen.

Will my H1B be cancelled or the INS waits for 1 month to cancel so that in the meantime if transfer request comes then a transfer will be honoured?

I think what they look for is whether you are in Valid (H-1) status when you requested for the trasfer. If you are not in valid status then they might approve your H-1 but not give you a I-94. This means that your extension of stay in the US is denied and you have to go out of country and get a visa and then come back. So, apply for the trasfer before your H-1 with conpany A is canceled.

H1B transfer

I transfered my H1B visa from Company A to company B.Now I want to go back to Company A.Do I have to transfer my H1B again or is the old visa with the Company A still valid and requires no transfer?
