Travelling without AP

Hi freinds,

I have an emergency, I have to go to India very very urgently. I have filed for 485. However I don't have AP. I'm still working for the same H1 employer. My H1 is valid.

Can I travel to India just with my H1 and no AP.

I would appreciate if you could share your experiences.

is all that you need to come back. Also carry recent pay stubs and a letter from employer that you are still employed and traveling for reason...../vacation

It might be prudent to return to the port of entry of region for which LCA for H1 was filed for. I mean when your LCA for H1 is filed your employer is required to say what state/(s) you would be working in and if you move to a different state apply again (LCA not H1).

you are wrong

if u have appied for 485 it is prudent and safe to use only , and i mean only AP .
