Travelling without AP

Hi freinds,

I have an emergency, I have to go to India very very urgently. I have filed for 485. However I don't have AP. I'm still working for the same H1 employer. My H1 is valid.

Can I travel to India just with my H1 and no AP.

I would appreciate if you could share your experiences.

Yes U can travel without any problem whatsoever without AP, if U have a valid H1 visa. Only U must carry your I485 receipt with U, they may ask u to show it at the port of entry.
