I'm wondering if it's at all possible to travel within the US (by plane) on a UK passport under my current situation.
I have been in the US since February 2006, coming from London. I overran by a few days on my original tourist visa, at the time I was trying to extend it by a further 6 months. I never got any proper feedback as to whether the application was successful.
In Late November 2006 I married a US citizen, and began trying to file for a green card a while after, I had to wait because a document I had originally sent off with my tourist visa extension was needed for the application, and I had to wait months for them to finally return it to me.
When finally it was returned in 2007, the process hit another hitch when they changed the filing fees just before I sent off my new application, so a few months later they returned asking for the new fees. Only recently have been able to afford the new fees, but I'm still a long way off getting a green card.
The planned trip would be later this month to California. I think I've given as much information as will be useful to anyone reading, so I'll leave it there.
Thanks.
