Hello Guru's

I am not sure if i am posting in the right thread , but since it is 485 related , i am posting it here.

I had a question

My spouse and myself have green cards which was approved last december/04 , but unfortunately my kids 485 ( 6 yr old )has not been approved , and is stil pending ( i do not know for what reason , they sent an RFE for birth facts sometime in Feb/05 to which we responded ,and later they sent bio-metrics appointment which is also done ) when i called them they said i hv to wait for it to be current ( i am eb3 ). Anyways i guess we need to just wait it out for her...:-(

The question is , we are planning to travel to india sometime later this year , i know my spouse and myself do not have any problems as we have our GC. My kid has an apperoved AP valid till may/05.

1.Can she travel out with this document ( her H4 visa expired sometime in early 2004 ) . Does she still need a valid visa stamping in her passport to travel?

2. Does she need a transit visa via frankfurt ? and if so what are the procedures and how long does it take to get one.

3. Do we also need a transit visa as we hv our GC.

Thanks a lot guys , sorry for making this long , but i thaught i would write it down here , rather than being cryptic in my query.

Good luck.
Tx.

A valid AP and passport is all that she needs to re-enter the US -- nothing else is required for that purpose.

Call/check the German consulate to verify reg. the transit visa.
If you live in a city with a German consulate, the visa is normally processed and issued on the same day.

You don't need a transit visa as you have a GC.
