We are flying on AA & Gulf to back home. While coming back our transit will be at Bahrain & we have to stay in Bahrain for 16 hours. In the past Gulf offered free hotel to all passenger for staying more than 8 hours. Per Gulf, rules has changed 4/5 months ago that passengers have to pay for the hotels. My travel agent says to take a chance to get free hotel at the Bahrain hotel instead of paying here.
My question : Has anyone travelled via Bahrain within 2/3 months & stayed there for longer than 8 hours ?. If so, had Gulf give free hotel ?. Appreciate if anyone share his/her experiences.
