Hi:
I never left USA after coming here 7 yrs back in J1 visa. Now I have a green card and am going home. I have a new passport and the older one with J1 stamp (which is now obviously expired and void) is lost. so I would be travelling with a new Indian passport which has the GC stamp and also the physical GC. This may be a naive Qs but is there anything that i need to know or carry when I travel. Also what exactly happens when I enter India? and what happens when I come back? is there a separate line for GC holders and I go to that counter? I am leaving on Tuesday so please , any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Your new passport and physical (plastic) green card good enough for traveling.
When you entering India, you have show your Indian passport (sometimes officer wants to see green card too).
When you re-enter USA you have to show both your passport and green card. You can stand in "US citizens and parmanent residents" line.
