Travelling to Canada by Land after i-485 application

I'm planning on taking a vacation to Canada in Aug.
I have a valid RTD expiring Feb 2011.
I'm eligible to apply for GC in july 2010.

My questions are:
a) Do I need to obtain advance parole since I'll have filed my I-485 at the time of travel OR is my RTD OK
to use without abandoning my GC app.
b) What documents do I need to use to enter and return? My COP passport is still valid.

You are fine using your RTD to travel from US to Canada and Back. But you will need a visa for Canada in your to enter Canada.
