Travelling out of Canada after becoming a PR....

Hi, I'm a landed PR in canada. I've been living in the Toronto area since the last 8 months. I'm currently visiting India on vacation for a month. When I flew out from Toronto airport, I was not asked for swiping my PR card nor was my passport stamped and I did not realize it until one of my friends told me that I should have got it done while leaving Canada. I'm quite worried, because of all these security measures being taken nowadays. I mean, could there be problems on re-entering Pearson airport since I don't have any record of leaving canada ? What is the normal procedure ? Please advise me someone.

Stop worrying, because you are fine and this procedure is normal. Because there is NO exit control in Canada. You will have stamps while exiting India and also while entering India. (I am assuming from your name that you are an Indian citizen). This serves as a proof of leaving Canada. If not, the cdn immigration officers clearly ask you (while entering back in Canada) to show your airline ticket (as a proof of your departure from Canada).
