My wife wishes to travel to india this summer via germany(lufthansa) with a valid AP/EAD but has a expired H4 visa on her passport. Is it okay to travel to india via germany(just to catch connecting flights).Has anybody had any good/bad experience travelling via germany. Some people claim that you need an airport transit visa & some claim that you dont.Called up lufthansa & the only thing they would say is that "residence permit" holders can travel to germany without transit visa. The germany consulate website talks about
http://www.germany-info.org/relaunch/info/consular_services/visa/countrylist.html
"If you hold a valid visa or residence permit for a member country of the European Union, Canada, Switzerland or the United States of America you do not need an airport transit visa."
Does this mean if you have a Valid AP/EAD but a expired H4 then you do not need a transit visa?
Anybody any thoughts?
