Can we travel on stamped passport? I saw couple of posts with INS memo also that we can travel on stamped passport, but after reading Tufan's experience in GC, I am not sure if we can travel.

I am planning to travel right next day after my interview this week. If my passport gets stamped, should I travel?

thanks

Yes you can

You should not have any problems coming back to America. However make sure if you halt at London, Paris or Frankfurt you should have a DATVisa.

hgc,

Just for the clarification, the officer was not sure and she was under the impression that USCIS has already phased out the stamp. Therefore, when i questioned her she went back and checked and verified that it's ok to travel on the stamp. Now the issue we face is that let's say if we are out of the country for two months and they phaseout the stamp during that timeframe then what do we do?

Secondly, the officr did not take my advance paroles? She took only EAD cards.
I guess are Advance parole are still valid and i have seen that USCIS no longer takes away advance parole incase the phase out the stamp, one could come back on Advance parole if that's not expired?

She infact made a copy of my advance parole!!!!
