Travelling on H1 stamped in expired passport

Folks,

My H1-B is valid until end of 2004. However my passport expired on Jan 2003 and have since recd a new passport from Embassy of India. My question is that the H1-B visa is stamped in my previous passport and not on the new one. In case I need to travel abroad, Can I return using my stamped visa in the old passport?

Yes, you can. (i have done this before)
Also make sure you carry the old pasport also.
