Travelling on AP, please help..

Hi Guys,
      I am travelling on AP and my VISA stamp on my passport has expired in Oct 2000.
     While coming back from India, airline officials look for VISA stamp to board the plane.
     Do they know about AP and will they let me board the plane with expired VISA stamp.
