Travelling on AP on O visa

One of my friends has an "O" status. She wants to go to India this August. She does not have the visa stamp, but she is expecting her Advanced parole to come before then. Does anybody know what the risks are of travelling on O status with advanced parole? In fact, does your status matter at all when you are trying to enter the country on Advanced parole or everybody is treated the same?
