Travelling on Advance Parole

Can you guys share your experience on Advance Parole?
I got my PR in Canada few months back. I went to Canada 2 weeks ago for landing process. I was harassed at the US immigration while returning to US.
I am planning to go home next month. I would appreciate if some shares the experience.

I am on same boat. when I return to USA they gave me also hard time. Did you went through Windsor.

My wife went last week to India with AP , PR (Canada), Without Transit Visa(Frankfort). I Called Consulate and they told you do not need visa because you have PR (Canada). and no one asked my wife about PR.

I am going this next week to India.

Just returned from India. While leaving (I was alone) US, I was harassed in Newark,NJ. While returning it wasn't so bad (was with family). You have to have a family emergency to use AP - not pleasure trip. Ofcourse there is a good likely hood you may not be harassed (most likely if you are with family and kids). If you have a valid family emergency and have a copy of the medical certificate or something you should not have a problem. Atleast give a family emergency as the reason for your visit (both you and your wife have to say the same thing).
