Guys I have a question

I got the Green card last week. I am planing to travel abroad in few months. I never traveled abroad before (Since 1990 when I entered in USA) and I have expired National Passport.
Now I am a Green card holder but my passport is expired. My question is what kind of documents can I apply for traveling abroad?

Please share your thoughts
Thanks

I believe that once you are a green card holder you should apply for reentry permit/travel document and you should be ready to go. The reason why i say you can't apply for your country passport is because later on when you apply for Citizenship you will have problems because they will ask you if you had problems with your government how did you get your country passport. So i strongly recomend you to get a Reentry Permit/ Travel Document.

better apply it right now!!

I applied it before my GC received. I sent out my Asylee approval letter , I-94, ID(DL), Check with $165 and expired RTD.
I think copy of your GC only ( of course with $165) should be enough for you to apply. if you plan to travel in a few months, you better do it right now since it usually takes 4-6 months.
by the way, the class of admission should be "AS6" ( Last time, info I gave u was wrong).
