Travelling before the USCIS approval notice

Hi,

My current H1 will be expired in the end of Feb 2006.
I already filed the extension with the same employer in Nov.22 2005.
I plan to go overesea in the end of Jan 2006 for 2 weeks.
My question is: if I haven't received USCIS H1 approval notice before I travel, will I have problem when I enter US in the mid Feb 2006?
