I am currently on J1 visa, and it expires in the end of November, 2009.
I have already received an extended DS-2019, for the next three years, but would like to have my visa renewed, too. my question is, if go to inida for an extension before the expiry date, but they reject my visa application for some reason, then can i travel back to the US on the old visa, or am i going to get stuck in India? please help!!
