travelling after filing I485

I will be filing I485 next month from NSC. I want to know can I travel to Canada after filing I485. I understand that I need A for travel abroad. Is that teh case for Canada too. Also, someone told me that this is old law and i can travel abroad even without AP.

Please clarify.

I will be filing I140 and I485 concurrently

I think you need to have AP or Valid visa to re-enter, even if it is canada.

you dont need an AP if you have a valid H visa if you are filing in Employment based category.
