Travelling abroad during N400 application

I completed all the steps for my N400 process in Boston (interview was 2 months ago) but still haven't received my oath letter.

I need to go on an overseas trip which will likely last several months soon. Can I do this and not disrupt the process?

I know the USCIS allows you to change address within the US during the process. Do they allow you to change to a foreign address? I wouldn't mind flying back to the USA for the oath ceremony if I got notice of it somehow.

The other idea I had was to change my address to a friend's and have the friend notify me of the letter when it finally arrives, but my friends are all too disorganized to be trusted with this :) (I hope they're not reading!)

Any help much appreciated. Thanks!
