Traveling while waiting for interview

Hi,

I am a US citizen and my husband lives in India. We are waiting for his interview to be scheduled. He currently has a valid B1/B2 visa in his passport and wants to come visit us here in the US for a few weeks. My question is, will this cause any problems with our immigration process...also is there anything we need to do in order for him to come here to visit so we dont hinder the process?

we have tried to call the embassy in delhi but everytime they transfer us it doesnt go through and we have also tried to email but no reply...

Thanks!

As long as he can convince the people at the airport that he is only here to visit and does not intend to adjust status in the US then he should have not problems.

A friend of mine works for customs, and he told me having a visa means nothing, and they turn away people all day long from entering the US to visit with visas because they feel they plan to stay. That would be the only issue I see, that he does plan to stay eventually and his info may be in the computer and he may be turned away. They don't care how far you traveled, if they don't want you to enter, you have to turn around and leave.
