Hi guys,
I've got a short question, and I'd really need your answer.
My wife (GC holder) filed i-130 form for me, and my status is pending now. Recently we got invited to a weding in Chicago ( we are from NY ) My visa already expired, no my status will be "not sure" probably for 2 more years. My question is can I fly while my status is pending? I don't want to be deported for something that stupid. It it safe for me to travel outside NY state? I don't want to risk.

You will not be checked for visa or your current status as long as you travel within the US. Carry your ID with you and thats all that is needed.

Visa expiry does not make you out of status. You are out of status IF you overstayed the date on your I-94. You will be in a legal status once you file your I-485 and that is when your status will be "Pending AOS". I-130 does not give you any benefit and you cannot be in a pending status as you wrote.
