Traveling w/ RTD

Folks, it seems like unless you start a new thread, your query won't get solved so forgive me for starting a new thread.

Anyways, I just received an email notifying me of the approval of my RTD and I've got a question about leaving the country.

As some of you may already know, my father's been handed the 212.a.3.b. nonsense while after making an inquiry with NSC, I was notified that my father's hold won't affect my case ( they said "your case isn't on hold" ) but I fear my history of working without authorization while in college for several months might prove lethal as according to the USCIS, I might be inadmissible due to my illegal activity while in F-1 ( i.e. working without a work permit ).

Anybody else have anything to share on this regard? Your feedback will be highly appreciated.

@Walker...a friend of mine used to work on an EAD which was expired for more than two years. He got that EAD from filing for i-485 thru marriage. His i-485 was denied. But he applied again for i-485 same marriage and for renewal EAD, although he never received the renewal EAD, he continued on working and to my suprise he even submitted a job letter to the USCIS with his second i-485, his work permit was long expired and i guess technically he wasn't allowed to work. It never occured to USCIS that the guy does not have a valid EAD and is still working. Awesome eh! lol...i am not saying my friend got lucky i just think USCIS does not care as long as you paid taxes...Let me ask you a question which you dont have to answer here? On your F1 status, did you work off the books? If you did, there is no way the USCIS would find by itself...If you worked on a social that was "Not valid for employement", eventhough the SSA says they would notify DHS on their site, i doubt they ever do...i mean look at IRS for instance, they never notify DHS when an Illegal Immigrant file his/her taxes using ITIN number. It's free cash coming in that the Fed government gets to keep because Illegal Immigrants are not eligible for Refunds.

fat_face, during my freshman year, I worked off campus during the summer break showing my SS Card. Then I did the same in the second year. I had a couple of Work Permits ( based on economic Hardship ) but I continued working, on and off ( w/ and without valid EAD ).

So what do you think?

Also, Back in 2008, I worked in two different states. I only filed for taxes in one state ( the one I resided in ) but not the other one ( because I owed money, it was a dumb mistake, I know ). Do you think that might affect me?

@Walker....relax man :) I don't think the USCIS would know or even care as i said before. Some laws (working on F1 status or expired EADs) are not enforced unless if they really want to nail you lol...i think i gave you an example of my friend working on expired EAD for 2 years...Walker, just relax man, and stop googling everything bcz you'll suffer mentally. If you keep finding faults in your case that are not faults...then you'll bog down yourself and wont be able to move on not until at least you get a U.S passport lol

Fat_face, what about my foolishness of filing the taxes man?

@ Walker....well Uncle Sam must be happy that you paid your taxes... taxes are always a plus point in immigration benefits..In this age and economy, i would doubt the Feds would chastise someone who file taxes but to the contrary, they are going after people who aren't filing taxes.
