I am supposed to get a J1 visa (and my wife and 2 kids a J2) effective Sep 1st
We would like to travel to the US in July which is more than 30 days before the visa starts.
I wanted to know whether (after receiving all the forms here) we could go into the US on a visitor visa and then exit to travel in Canada or Mexico to return in Aug on our J1 visa (without going back to my home country).
