Traveling to India Please advice

I and my wife applied for GC and I (primary applicant) got my approval. My wife (working on H-1) applied for her name change in the passport. She got her new passport with new number. There is stamp on old passport stating "This Passport no longer valid new passport number XXXXX issued. All the visas in old passport are valid".

We got our new EAD and Advance Parole(With old name). I am planning to visit India. Is it safe to take both the passports(Old Name + New Name) and Advance Parole (Old Name) or Do i need something else ?

As she is working on H1 visa, she can use it for re-entry (provided she has valid visa stamp on one of the passports). She needs to show both passport at POE - new passport and visa stamp on old passport. In addition, take a copy of your marriage certificate.

If her name in AP is same as new passport, she does not need to carry old passport. However, if her name is different, it's better to carry old passport too.
 
Alwasys carry both the passports (old and new) and most of your stampings are in the old passport. Also they can verify both the name looking at the two passports.

Its not a very big hassle to carry both of them, just carry both always. you would be better safe than sorry.
