Hello Everyone:
I was checking the requiremts to visit HUngary and in their Web page says that US holders of RTD don't require a turist visa. Has anyone travel to Hungary w/RTD? Was there any problems getting in? Thaks and my best to everyone in the forum.

[General Information on Hungarian Visas

U.S. citizens may enter the territory of the Republic of Hungary without a visa and may stay there for a maximum period of ninety days during the six months from the date of his/her first entry without a separate permit provided that he/she meets the conditions required for staying. However, U.S. citizens with the intention to enter employment or to stay more then 90 days in Hungary DO need visas to travel to Hungary. Holders of Permits to Reenter or Refugee Travel Documents issued by the US Government are also allowed to enter Hungary and stay there up to 90 days without a visa.

An airport transit visa is generally required to transit at Budapest Ferihegy International Airport. Although nationals of most countries are exempt from this regulation, please, check with the nearest Hungarian Embassy or Consulate to verify if you are required a visa for transiting at Budapest International Airport.

The processing of the visas may require a longer period of time. It could take even 25-30 days.

The visa may be used within the period of its validity. The period of validity of the visa shall be calculated from its date of issue. The visas marked as "C" have an expiration date of up to 6 months. The actual expiration date determined by the consul is written into the visa.

Visas at Hungarian border crossing points are not issued.

All documents to be presented in connection with the visa application shall be original. No copies, notarized or not, shall be accepted. Any request for waiving this requirement shall be rejected without further consideration.

The visa application shall be submitted by using the established form to the Hungarian representation competent according to the permanent or usual place of residence of the foreigner (see chart below). The visa shall be submitted in person, but the visa issuing authority may waive the obligation of personal submission.

I've never actually heard about that. But it's good if it's true. I heard they have cheap dentists over there :)
