Hi Everyone,

I have got my RTD and have to go to Holland urgently for a funeral. Someone said I can go to Germany and then take a train to Holland. I don't need a visa for Germany. Do they check passports on the Frankfurt-Holland train? Is it safe for me to drop into Holland even though I am only supposed to stay in Germany?

Would love an answer a.s.a.p.

visa is not required to Germany.
However, other Eu countries require visa for holders of RTD.
It will be taking a chance.
There might be a good chance that noone will check it.
Or it might come up where immigraiton will check it and send you back to Germany.
Getting visa is the best option.
Although, if immigration gets to you on the border and sends you back, who knows whether they will inform US CIS or not;
if yes, then it might hurt you when getting green card and citizenship.
