Hi everyone,
My situation is as follows:
Last entry to the US was in 1997. Entered as student (practical training at that time). Then changed to H, switched companies, a few extensions, and no H visa in my passport. I am currently planning a trip outside the US. I have always been in status and I have a valid AP.
The questions:
1. When I depart the US, should I turn in any of the i94s? If so, which one? (I have about 6).
2. When I fly back into the US (assuming I don't get the H in my passport), what do I fill in the I 94 as status or visa type (I forget the exact question). Should I just leave it blank?
3. Suppose I apply for the H-1B stamp and for whatever reason (prior arrest)it gets denied. Can I still enter the US with no problem?
4. Should I even bother trying to get the stamp?
Thank you all.
