Travel with Valid H1 after filing I-485

Hi Guys,
I may be the same old issue for so many of you guys but for some of us will find it very helpful.
Are we allowed to travel without PA on a valid H1 visa stamped or not?
My lawyer told me YES WE COULD. My other friends are telling me against this.
What is your thinking on this?
Anyone who travelled without PA after filing I-485.

You can travel on valid H-1 visa as long as it is stamped in your passport. You don\'t need AP. Lot of people has traveled like that without any problem. You may have to carry your 485 reciept.

No you do not have to carry anything as long as you have a vaild H1 and you have not used EAD card. EAD card use will automaticaly invalidtae your H1. I have traveled many time on H1. I have EAD and AP which I carry with me Just in case. Always carry AP with you. Thanks
