Travel with GC.......

Hi,

I am going to India for the first time after getting US GC. Do I have to carry anything else other than my Passport, and US GC?

Also, I still have my expired I94 in my Passport, what should I do with that? Should I just remove and leave it at home or should I carry and give it to Airline people?

Thank You

Thats all you need.
Not sure how you have your expired I-94 with you. This is normally submitted when you go for Stamping of the Passport, but anyhow, you can surrender it to the Airlines (make sure you have a copy just in case !!!).

I94.......

Hi rg585,

I was interviewed at Newark, NJ and Interviewing officer requested additional documents(3 year tax returns, new employement letter, pay stubs) and told me that she will make a decision after receiving these documents.

I mailed her the requested documents and in about a month, I received Welcome Letter from BCIS and my attorney told me that I do not have to go for stamping and I received my Physical GC after a month. That is the reason, I still have my I94 in my passport and it is expired.

Is it ok to return expired I94 to Airlines or Do I just remove and save it?

Thank You for your info.

Normal procedure is mailing it back to USCIS (don't know what address). But I believe it's OK to return it to airlines. In addition, there are another deperture info form for perm residents. Don't forget to fill-up that form too.

Huh? What would that be? Never seen nor heard of anything like that.
When entering, you of course have to fill out a customs form. But everybody, including US citizens, has to fill out that form.

Normally airlines ask you to fill-up a small card when you don't have I-94 (in case of perm residents).

Thats the first time I am hearing about it. Is this a recent development ?

I am sure it is fine to return it to the Airlines. Anyway, they pass on all the I-94's to the BCIS anyways.
