Travel with Advanced Parole while Adjustment of Status Pending and Previous F1 Opt expired?

I have applied for Adjustment of Status, EAD, and Advanced Parole. I need to travel to back home in Decemeber. My F1 Opt expired on July 12 2015 and I applied for AOS on August 14 2015. What would my current status be(not sure if its out of status since my previous status is expired). The current time frame for AOS in my local field office is 8-10 months. So with my current application can i travel back home with Advance Parole and how much risky is it? . Also if i can travel what documents i need to take with me??

You are out of status, but that's not relevant as you have a pending AOS, so you can stay in the US regardless of status. There isn't much risk traveling with Advance Parole if your AOS isn't likely to be denied. Just AP and passport, and maybe I-485 receipt.
